Old Village Life Updated With Chic Coffee Machines

I’ve just goe back from a blisteringly hot holiday with my chum – she moved away from the UK some twenty or so years ago and helped her husband build a truly magnificent house up in the hills above Paphos.  There’s nothing left of the vibrant family life from years before – no bread making, no children running about in gay abandon along the unmade tracks between the houses. But technology has arrived.  Internet and a craze for making exotic coffee and hot chocolate – t  Even the elderly matriarchs have one.  The outlet for these fancy kitchen gods is back in UK and everyone buys from nice homware sites – usually via a grandson or grand daughter.  The old weaving looms sit silently and dustily still in each court yard, but modern coffee is on tap now – as is patchy internet.  The wine making is still happening – electric grape mashers making such a difference to the job.  Hurrah for advancement!
